Quarterly News Letter 1 - 2025

We are pleased to present our first Quarterly Newsletter for 2026.

We invite you to take a moment to read and be inspired by the stories, milestones, and meaningful experiences we have shared during this quarter. Each achievement reflects our continuing journey in creating vision, impact, and change in the lives of persons with blindness and visual impairments.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to all the individuals, groups, members, partners, who have walked with us and made these successes possible. Your support continue to bring hope, opportunities, and transformation to the Visionistas.

As we move forward, we warmly invite you to partner with us-whether through collaboration, support, or simply sharing our advocacy. Together we continue building a future filled with vision, deeper impact, and lasting change.

HERE ARE THE DETAILS

Creating Vision, Impact, and Change

The year 2026 started with new ideas, new plans, new opportunities, and new songs at Future Vision Home.

As we begin another year, we continue our mission to create vision, impact, and change in the lives of persons with visual impairments. The first quarter of the year has been full of learning, achievements, visits, celebrations, and meaningful experiences for the Visionistas.

New Year, New Ideas, New Music

This year started with creative ideas to make life at the Home more enjoyable and meaningful. One of the
simple but special additions this year is “Shallie,” a small ukulele that brings happiness to anyone who plays
it. Music continues to be part of daily life at the Home, and this small instrument is already bringing smiles,
songs, and moments of bonding among the Visionistas.

We also continue to enjoy simple moments together like sharing stories, planning activities, and talking about dreams for the future while drinking a hot cup of coffee. Sometimes the best ideas and plans come from simple conversations together.

January 2026 Highlights

3-in-One Celebration: Simple but Joyful Celebration Together

We held a 3-in-one celebration, which included the 3rd Midweek Anniversary, the 18th birthday of Kizhel, and the birthday of Marife. It was a simple celebration, but it was full of joy, laughter, fellowship, and thanksgiving to God.

One of the highlights was the 18 Treasures, where people gave simple gifts and short advice for Kizhel as she entered adulthood. Since this was a simple celebration, the gifts were simple and meaningful, and some were symbolic or messages instead of material gifts.

This was followed by the 18 Roses with Prayer, where family and friends offered prayers for her future, guidance, and blessings. Because we wanted to keep the celebration simple, the roses were symbolic or imaginary, but each prayer was real, sincere, and full of love. Everyone was reminded that prayers are more important than expensive things.

After the program, everyone shared a meal together, had a joint cake cutting, played games, sang songs, and enjoyed fellowship together.

Overall, the celebration was simple but meaningful. It was not about decorations, many roses, or expensive gifts, but about love, friendship, prayers, and being thankful to God.

March 2026 Highlights

Benefit Concert Experience

Our March started with beautiful classical music from a violinist and a symphony orchestra during a Benefit Concert held at Rockwell. This was part of a charity event, and our Founder had the opportunity to introduce Future Vision and speak about the organization. Eleven members, including Ms. Josephine and Loren, attended as guests. It was an inspiring and memorable experience for everyone.

Benefit Concert Experience

Two days after the concert, the Visionistas were invited to perform for a birthday surprise for the CEO of a company in Filinvest, Alabang. Thirteen Visionistas attended, led by Miss Josephine and Miss Mabel.

The group sang the favorite songs of the birthday celebrator, including “Imagine,” “Unchained Melody,” and they also performed a Japanese song, “Arigatou.” The performance made the celebration very special and meaningful, and everyone appreciated the music and effort of the Visionistas. It was another opportunity for
them to share their talents and bring joy to others through music.

Teacher Training Talk

Later in March, the Founder, who is a Special Education teacher, was invited to give a talk on Teaching Learners with Visual Impairment in the General Education System. The audience were teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 3, and the program was organized by the Department of Education Taguig City and Pateros Division. This was also an opportunity to share the advocacy and work of Future Vision in promoting inclusive education.

Student Achievements and Graduation

We are proud to share that several Visionistas are graduating and moving up this year. (Individual pics on toga or sablay.)

Elementary Graduates

Moving Up in Secondary:

We are very proud of all their achievements, and we congratulate them for their hard work and perseverance.

Aside from our athletes, John Timothy also received an award during the school’s recognition day.

University Research Visits

This month, two groups of college students from RTU Mandaluyong Campus visited Future Vision Home and conducted research with the Visionistas. We are happy to support college and university students in their research and learning. In our own way, we also want to help and support others in reaching their dreams and goals.

Future Vision 12th Anniversary

12 Years and More: A Celebration of Vision, Impact and Change

We celebrated the 12th Anniversary of Future Vision in a very simple way through a dinner and a small program with the theme “12 Years and More: A Celebration of Vision, Impact and Change.”

During the program, participants were grouped and asked to share about Vision, Impact, Change, and Gratitude. Parents, members, and partners shared how Future Vision helped change lives, build confidence, provide opportunities, and support families.

We also recognized our partners, parents, teachers, and schools for their continuous support and important role in helping Future Vision grow and serve the Visionistas. Aside from the graduates, there were also birthday recognitions for March celebrants: Kaith, Philip, Jean, and Tita Josephine, who was also  recognized for her contributions to the Visionistas.

The program included special messages, story sharing, and a poem written and recited for Future Vision, along with heartfelt messages from our leaders. Though the celebration was simple, it was full of joy, gratitude, and meaningful moments that highlighted the love and support within our Future Vision family.
